SLIPPERS FROM ASHER
Manila, has the largest homeless population of any city in the world – 3.1 million. An estimated 1.2 million children in the Philippines sleep rough, with 70,000 in Manila.Staying in Manila and ASHER DEAN and AZRAEL DEAN S. LUBOFSKY also born and raised in Manila, we see the extreme poverty daily. I always encouraged the boys to be generous, to share to people we meet on the streets. The kids have visited the orphanage where we donated milk etc. Azrael also one year gave up his birthday party so instead to donate to the orphanage. The number of young kids we see daily walking barefoot on the filthy street is staggering as they are either homeless or have no money.
To honor Asher, his kindness to others and his generosity we have started "SLIPPERS FROM ASHER."
Basically, to start off, we will give slippers to street kids that are barefooted whenever we see them. From there we will find other ways to give slippers directly as well as do other things as they arise for street kids. We started off with 100 pairs and put Asher's name on them. This is one way to honor our beloved Asher and keep his spirit alive.

Asher was always a generous child and happy to help others. Even if he saw something on the floor in the store he would pick it up.
